
Soon after purported iPad 3 back shell photos broke loose, The Verge is now claiming that Apple’s next-generation tablet will not include a rumored quad-core processor. The Verge‘s reports contradicts both findings inside beta builds of iOS 5.1 and a report from the typically accurate Bloomberg. While they say no quad-core chip is coming in this next iPad, it will sport an improved GPU. This new graphics processor will likely make the rumored Retina Display not hog up the device’s performance power.
